The research pillar of the program is aimed at generating reliable evidence-based information on NCDs to guide standard practices, policy and decision-making on NCDs at the program and national levels. Thus far, the program has been able to complete 2 manuscripts which are undergoing final edits for publication submission. The two papers are focused on the Know Your Numbers Approach implemented by the NCD-PCP from the year 2016. The research office has also played a central role in the funded project, ‘Developing a policy to eliminate trans-fatty acids (TFA) in Cameroonian foods. Ethical clearance has been obtained from the Institutional Review Board (IRB) of the CBC Health Services. Data collection tools have been developed awaiting final validation. Concurrently with the main project, a questionnaire to assess knowledge of TFA in Cameroonian health care providers employed by the CBCHS has been piloted and adjustments are underway
