In 2014, the CBCHS worked collaboratively with the MoH to design, its current NCD prevention and control program in response to the growing prevalence of NCDs in the country. Since then, the program has continued to work with the MoH, to improve national response through improved policies, training of the health work-force, designing and implementation of effective community-directed interventions. For instance, in 2019 the program developed a hypertension management protocol together with the MoH to standardize hypertension care in Cameroon. Also, in 2021, with MoH support the program started a research with intentions to develop a policy for the elimination of trans-fats in Cameroonian foods.
